Daniel joined the group in September 2016. From September 2016 to September 2017, Daniel was intensively involved, working with Jaap Spier, in the writing of the commentary to the Climate Principles for Enterprises, discussions of content and strategy with the Expert Group and external parties, the processing of resulting feedback, and creating publicity for the principles, including by delivering a presentation at the World Environment Conference 2017 in New Delhi.

Daniel holds a BA in Liberal Arts & Sciences (Hons., cum laude) from Leyden University and an MSc in Global Politics from The London School of Economics & Political Science (with Distinction). At Leyden, Daniel majored in World Politics and completed a minor concentration in the Environment at McGill University (magna cum laude). Daniel won the Best Dissertation prize at the LSE for his dissertation entitled ‘Business for Climate – A Qualitative Comparative Analysis of Policy Support and Opposition from Transnational Companies’.

Currently, Daniel is a Partner at Carnstone Partners Ltd, a management consultancy specialising in sustainability.
